Lauryn’s record continuity at risk - 2007-09-27
Lauryn Hill’s record agreement is inactive reports to her label boss to contacmusic.com. The Hip Hop’s manager thinks is unlikely she will release a smashing hit as her former band ‘The Fugees, who split in 1997 for a brief comeback in 2004. Talking about his concerns, Columbia Records senior manager says, “Her deal is borderline inactive, though I'm sure they want to do an album. But when you sign an act in another era, with a deal based on the act being a superstar, things can change. He remarks, "These days, even if you do great numbers, they will likely not be Fugees numbers. So, I have to see what direction she and her people would like to take and what they'd like to do." The star released her latest solo album in 2002.
